How do we get there?

The Greyfriars apartment is approximately 5 minutes' taxi ride (or 15-20 minutes on foot) from both the Airport Express Bus Terminus and the main railway station (Waverley Station). We will send you detailed directions before your arrival.

There is metered parking on Chambers Street, though the maximum parking period is 2 hours. Parking on meters and single-yellow lines is free from 6.30pm to 7.30am and all day on Sunday; parking is forbidden at all times on double-yellow lines. Be sure not to fall foul of parking regulations as the city's traffic wardens are very diligent and you may incur a parking fine or find that your car has been impounded. Another option is to leave your car at the Castle Terrace Car Park, which is a 10-minute walk away from the apartment. The car park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All tenement apartments in Edinburgh are accessed by shared stairways, which tend to be functional more than luxurious, although the entry-phone system ensures the security of the stairway. Because the building dates from the 18th century, there is no lift and thus no wheelchair access. The apartment is on the second floor.

Edinburgh has an efficient public transport system run by Lothian Regional Transport. Buses run throughout the city from early morning till midnight, after which there is a reduced night service. Lothian Regional Transport's information office is on Waverley Bridge, near the Airport Express Bus Terminus.
